Kurt Safari Co now offers luxurious trips into the famous Kruger National Park. We provide private transfers in air-conditioned vehicles from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. From there, we take our clients to the acclaimed Oliver’s Lodge in White River. Guests can indulge in the luxuries offered by the Lodge, such as the Gourmet Restaurant, as well as the Wellness & Beauty spa and the golf course on the property.
These Luxury Safari tours can be tailor-made to the clients’ requirements. Below is a standard itinerary in order to get the most out of their stay at the exquisite Oliver’s Lodge and the various safaris in South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park:
Day 1: Transfer to Oliver’s Lodge. (Dinner included)
We collect clients at Oliver Tambo or surrounding hotels and transfer them to Oliver’s Lodge in White River. The transfer time is approximately 4 hours. Guests will be checked in and have enough time to get settled before dinner time. The lodge has a magnificent restaurant with an a-la-carte menu. (Dinner is for own account.)
Day 2 & 3: Full-day private open vehicle safaris in the Kruger National Park (Breakfast & Dinner included)
We rise with the run to collect packed breakfasts from the lodge before the exciting day in the Park; breakfast will be enjoyed at a chosen lookout point or waterhole.
Your guide can stop at a restaurant inside the Kruger National Park for lunch, determined by the route chosen on the day. (Lunch is for own account)
Clients are returned to the lodge around 16h00 after the safaris.
Day 4: Full Day private Panorama tour. (Breakfast & Dinner included)
Today we awake slightly later and, after a hearty breakfast at the lodge, we make our way in an air-conditioned closed vehicle towards the Picturesque Mpumalanga Highveld.
We will visit the world’s third largest canyon – the Blyde River Canyon – as well as the Three Rondavels and a small town called Graskop, where we will have lunch and do some souvenir shopping. We also visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, found in the Blade River and surrounding waterfalls like Lisbon and Mac Mac falls. It is meant to be a relaxed day.
We return in the afternoon for some leisure time, a swim, and time to rest after the past few exciting days. We have dinner and get to bed for the next day’s animal sightings in the Park.
Day 5: Half-day private open vehicle safari in the Kruger National Park. (Breakfast included)
You will have to get up before the sun has risen again to depart on another safari with your same ranger as the previous day, taking your luggage with you today. We will visit a different area of the KNP than the day before and the guide will focus on finding different wildlife that you might have missed the day before.
Where we stop for breakfast – as the day before – depends on the guide’s choice and the direction he chooses to take in the KNP on the day. And although it is only a morning safari, each safari is an experience with Kurt Safari Co.
Clients will meet the transfer vehicle at one of the local entry gates where they will be transferred back to Oliver Tambo airport or surrounding hotels in air-conditioned closed vehicles.
Clients flying out of OR TAMBO on last day should please avoid booking flights earlier than 20h00 (domestic flights) and 21h00 (international flights) as one cannot always guarantee on-time arrival at OR Tambo International airport.
We offer these luxury Safari’s with pick-ups from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Nelspruit as well.
Transfer time from KMIA to Oliver’s Lodge is approximately 20 minutes.
